What is Error E3001 and how do I fix it?
Error E3001 occurs when the Cronus Zen has corrupted firmware or no firmware installed.
Locate the blue reset button underneath the Cronus Zen.
Press and hold the reset button firmly.
While holding the button, connect the Cronus Zen to your PC using the CONSOLE/PC USB port.
The screen should display “Zen Bootloader”, confirming recovery mode.
• Go to: firmware.modcentral.ca • Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge only. • Follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall the firmware.
• The issue may be caused by insufficient USB power. • Connect the PROG USB port (right side of the Cronus Zen) to provide additional power. • Retry the update with both USB ports connected.
