# Keyboard

Tested keyboards for use with the Cronus Zen™. If a keyboard is not listed, it has not been tested — that does not mean it will not work.

### <i class="fa-circle-info">:circle-info:</i> What the notes mean <a href="#notes-explained" id="notes-explained"></a>

<details>

<summary><strong>BIOS mode required</strong></summary>

The keyboard must be switched to BIOS mode before the Cronus Zen™ will accept it. Whether this is needed depends on the keyboard's firmware version.

On the **Corsair Strafe**, BIOS mode has to be set again after every startup.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Enumerates as a mouse</strong></summary>

The keyboard registers a second device that the Cronus Zen™ reads as a mouse. Add that device to the **Ignore List** so it does not interfere with your mouse settings.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Requires the correct cable connection</strong></summary>

The keyboard ships with two USB cables. Only one of them carries the connection the Cronus Zen™ needs.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Certain firmware versions may not be recognized</strong></summary>

Compatibility depends on the keyboard's firmware version. If the Cronus Zen™ does not detect the keyboard, check for a firmware update from the manufacturer.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://guide.cronuszen.com/supported-devices/keyboard.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
