5PlayStation®5 Setup

Cronus Zen™ provides compatibility for select legacy Logitech® and Fanatec® racing wheels on PlayStation®5, including support for Force Feedback, pedals, brakes, clutch, and shifter in compatible racing titles.

Wheel Mode development concluded in January 2020. Further expansion is not feasible due to device memory and compatibility constraints across multiple hardware brands and platforms.

For expanded racing wheel compatibility, consider Drive Hub™, a dedicated wheel adapter solution.

Logitech® G25 Notes

• Set the wheel to PS3 Mode with the DC power supply connected. • To switch between Six-Speed and Sequential Mode:

  • Push down on the shift knob and rotate the Mode Selection Dial until the red arrow points to the desired symbol.

  • In Sequential Mode, the status light is on.

  • In Six-Speed Mode, the status light is off.

Logitech® G27 Notes

• Set the wheel to PS3 Mode with the DC power supply connected.

Logitech® G29 Notes

• Works directly on PS4® / PS5® without Cronus Zen™. • Set the wheel to PS4 Mode with the DC power supply connected.

PS5® Console Settings

Before setting up Wheel Mode, complete the following:

• Confirm the game supports PS5® wheel input (see compatibility list). • Ensure no PlayStation® controllers are paired to the console. Remove them from Bluetooth Accessories. • Disable all scripts and GamePacks during wheel setup.

Important: When a DualSense® or DualShock®4 is connected directly to a PS5® via USB, it also pairs over Bluetooth®. To properly unpair a controller:

  1. Connect Cronus Zen™ to the PS5® using any controller.

  2. Go to Settings → Accessories → Bluetooth Accessories.

  3. Select the controller and choose Delete.

This prevents automatic Bluetooth re-pairing.

SETUP PS5 WHEEL MODE

In PS5® Wheel Mode, supported racing wheels are automatically mapped to emulate a Logitech® G29 profile with full Force Feedback (FFB) support.

No manual button remapping is required.

IMPORTANT

If your wheel requires an external power supply (e.g., Logitech® G25, G27, G29 — DC 24V 2A / 48W), it must be connected. All included peripherals (pedals, brake, clutch, shifter, etc.) must also be properly connected.

Operating the wheel without the required power supply may result in abnormal behavior, including:

• No Force Feedback • Continuous button inputs (e.g., D-Pad registering repeatedly) • Clutch or pedal input not detected

Example: A Logitech® G27 used in Gran Turismo® 7 without its power supply may exhibit these issues.

RACING WHEEL (USB)

Requirements

• PlayStation®5 console • Compatible racing wheel • PS4® Speciality authentication controller (e.g., HORI® PS4 Mini-Pad) • Zen Studio installed on a Windows® PC

Configure Wheel Mode

1. Connect Cronus Zen™ to a PC using the PROG USB port.

2. Open Zen Studio → Tools → Zen Operational Mode. Select Wheel Mode, then click Finish.

The Wheel Mode logo should appear on the Zen OLED screen.

3. Press the Zen reset button once to confirm Wheel Mode is active. If “Device Disconnected” appears, reconnect the PROG USB cable.

4. In Zen Studio → Device Panel, enable PS4 Speciality.

Allow the Zen to restart. To confirm it remains enabled, disconnect and reconnect the PROG USB cable and verify the setting is still active.

Connect Hardware

5. Disconnect all cables from the Zen (no power).

6. Connect the PS4 Speciality authentication controller to A1.

7. Connect the racing wheel to A3. Ensure the wheel’s external power supply is connected.

8. Connect Cronus Zen™ to the PS5® using the CONSOLE/PC USB port.

9. Press the Zen reset button to complete synchronization.

Warning

During Force Feedback (FFB) initialization and auto-calibration, do not touch the wheel. Unexpected movement may cause injury or result in incorrect calibration.
