PlayStation®5 Setup

Cronus Zen™ supports select legacy Logitech® and Fanatec® racing wheels on PlayStation®5, including force feedback, pedals, brake, clutch, and shifter in compatible racing titles.

Do not touch the wheel during force feedback initialization and auto-calibration. Unexpected movement can cause injury or result in incorrect calibration.

Wheel Mode development concluded in January 2020. Further expansion is not feasible due to device memory and compatibility constraints across multiple hardware brands and platforms.

Logitech® G29 works directly on PS4® and PS5® without a Cronus Zen™. Set it to PS4 Mode with the DC power supply connected.

Logitech® G25 — shifter modes

To switch between Six-Speed and Sequential Mode, push down on the shift knob and rotate the Mode Selection Dial until the red arrow points to the symbol you want.

• Sequential Mode — status light on

• Six-Speed Mode — status light off

Power supply

If your wheel needs an external power supply — the Logitech® G25, G27, and G29 use DC 24 V 2 A / 48 W — it must be connected. All peripherals such as pedals, brake, clutch, and shifter must also be connected.

Running the wheel without its power supply can cause:

• no force feedback

• continuous button inputs, for example the D-pad registering repeatedly

• clutch or pedal input not being detected

For example, a Logitech® G27 used in Gran Turismo® 7 without its power supply shows all three.

Before you start

• Confirm the game supports PS5® wheel input — see Compatible Racing Games

• Disable all scripts and GamePacks

• Unpair every PlayStation® controller from the console

When a DualSense™ or DualShock®4 is connected to a PS5® over USB, it also pairs over Bluetooth®. Deleting it prevents automatic re-pairing.

1. Connect the Cronus Zen™ to the PS5® using any controller

2. Go to Settings → Accessories → Bluetooth Accessories

3. Select the controller and choose Delete

Setup

In PS5® Wheel Mode, supported wheels are automatically mapped to emulate a Logitech® G29 profile with full force feedback. No manual button remapping is required.

Configure Wheel Mode

Connect the Zen to your PC

Use the PROG USB port.

Enable Wheel Mode

Open Zen Studio → Tools → Zen Operational Mode, select Wheel Mode, and click Finish.

The Wheel Mode logo appears on the Zen's OLED screen.

Confirm it is active

Press the Zen's reset button once. If Device Disconnected appears, reconnect the PROG USB cable.

Enable PS4 Speciality

In Zen Studio → Device Panel, enable PS4 Speciality and let the Zen restart.

To confirm it stayed enabled, disconnect and reconnect the PROG USB cable and check the setting again.

Connect the hardware

Disconnect everything

Remove all cables from the Zen so it has no power.

Connect the AUTH controller

Connect the PS4® Speciality authentication controller to A1.

Connect the wheel

Connect the racing wheel to A3, with its external power supply connected.

Connect the Zen to the PS5®

Use the CONSOLE/PC USB port.

Synchronize

Press the Zen's reset button to complete synchronization.

Stand clear of the wheel. Force feedback initialization and auto-calibration start automatically, and the wheel can move without warning.
